ALT Trust Staff Conference 

2nd September 2026

After months of organisation, the ALT Trust Staff Conference on 2nd September saw nearly 300 staff attending a day of networking, keynote speakers and a wide range of in-house led seminar sessions.

The day aimed to enhance a whole Trust ethos; have professional development at the centre for all staff in their work; provide opportunities to learn from one another and strengthen connections across schools and teams.

Following from last year's conference which had as one focus the new appraisal framework especially for teaching staff, this year the focus on the development of appraisal for support staff was implemented and the two systems aligned. 

The white paper reforms were at the heart of the teaching seminars with the keynote speaker being our Director of Education.

The YCP is a collaboration between Abingdon and Witney College, and Abingdon Learning Trust schools.
